Progress

Subject leaders set subject targets in line with national expectations (2 sub –levels per year). We record, track and analyse progress in line with the same standards, and put in place targeted interventions when students’ are not “on track” to achieve their annual targets. Given their starting points when entering the school and their complex vulnerabilities, the majority of our pupils make good progress ( 2 sub-levels), although due to a variety of factors their attainment (as indicated by our Raiseonline profile) is less than national expectations. The school is working to develop a range of appropriately accredited examinations at Key Stage 4 in order for pupils’ attainment to reflect more accurately their learning and progress over time.
