At The Orchard School, we value the opportunity to help develop the next generation of teachers and support staff. We work with KsENT, the Department for Education and local partners to provide Initial Teacher Training (ITT) placements and Early Career Teacher (ECT) mentoring.

Because of our pupils’ complex needs, each placement is carefully considered ensuring it is supportive, appropriate and maintains the consistency our pupils rely on. Trainees benefit from structured guidance and reflective practice within a therapeutic SEMH environment, where relationships, trust and wellbeing come first.
