Welcome Hugo!
We’re thrilled to introduce Hugo, our future school Therapy dog, who has already captured the hearts of staff and students alike!
Hugo is a gentle and friendly Miniature Goldendoodle who has been visiting The Orchard School this term as part of his
socialisation and training journey. While he’s not quite ready to spend time directly with pupils just yet, he’s been getting used to the sights, sounds, and rhythms of school life — and he’s doing brilliantly!
When he is old enough, Hugo will attend professional training sessions to ensure he becomes a calm, confident, and well-behaved presence around children. Until his training is complete and he is officially approved for work with pupils, he’ll only be visiting the school for short, supervised periods and will not spend time in classrooms with pupils.
We know many of you are excited to meet him properly — and we are too! We’ll continue to share updates on Hugo’s
progress, and when the time is right, we’ll introduce him to our school community more fully.
In the meantime, thank you for your support as we help Hugo become the best school dog he can be!
