  • Clubs & Trips

Safe challenges. New horizons. Lifelong memories.

At The Orchard School, enrichment is part of our therapeutic offer. Many of our pupils arrive with limited access to extracurricular activities, visits or positive risk-taking. That’s why we place high value on experiences that build confidence, spark curiosity and strengthen relationships.

We offer a range of in-school clubs and off-site opportunities that promote engagement, emotional development and personal growth — all at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for each pupil.

    In-School Clubs & Experiences

    • Creative arts, Lego therapy, cooking and mindfulness
    • Sensory play, board games, music and wellbeing groups
    • Pupil-led clubs that reflect current interests and strengths
    • Clubs are adapted by phase, need and pupil voice

    Educational & Enriching Visits

    • Local trips to museums, parks, libraries and farms
    • Community-based learning, e.g. shopping, cafés, public transport
    • Outdoor learning visits and nature-based projects
    • Opportunities to rehearse independence, social interaction and real-life problem solving
