Nutritious meals. Calm routines. Shared experiences.
At The Orchard School, we know that mealtimes are more than just eating — they’re an important part of the day for connection, regulation and care. Many of our pupils benefit from structured, supported routines that help make lunch a safe and positive experience.
We provide balanced, nutritious meals that meet a range of dietary needs and support physical and emotional wellbeing.
Meals are served in calm, supported settings with familiar staff who eat alongside pupils to model social interaction and create a positive atmosphere.
(Pupils attend one lunch sitting depending on their class or Key Stage.)
If your child is eligible for Free School Meals, they will receive a healthy lunch each day at no cost. To check eligibility or apply, please contact the school office or visit [insert local authority FSM link].
Pupils may bring a packed lunch from home if preferred. We ask families to avoid sweets, fizzy drinks, and nut-based products to support healthy choices and allergy safety.

Menus are updated termly and available in paper form on request.
We’re here to support your child’s needs. Please contact us if you’d like to speak to the kitchen team or arrange a personalised food plan.
