  • Parent Workshop & Support

Supporting families as partners in learning and care.

At The Orchard School, we believe that families are central to a child’s success. Many of our pupils have complex needs — and we know that parenting can feel both rewarding and challenging. That’s why we offer a range of workshops, guidance and informal support to help families feel informed, empowered and never alone.

    What We Offer

Parent workshops on topics such as:

    • Understanding behaviour as communication
    • Emotional regulation strategies
    • Managing anxiety and transitions
    • Supporting learning at home
    • Informal coffee mornings to build connection and share experiences
    • SEND and EHCP drop-in sessions
    • Behaviour and wellbeing Q&As with key staff
    • One-to-one support via our family liaison or SEND teams

A Relational Approach to Family Support

We don’t do judgment. We listen. We problem-solve. And we work with you — not around you. Our approach is restorative, kind, and focused on what’s helpful for your family.

Whether you attend a workshop or just need a chat with someone who gets it, we’re here.
