Helping pupils arrive safely, calmly and ready to learn.
Many of our pupils are eligible for home-to-school transport provided by the local authority. We work closely with transport teams, escorts and families to ensure that every journey is as smooth and supportive as possible.
Our goal is to make sure pupils arrive at school feeling safe, settled and ready for the day — and that they return home in the same way.
What You Need to Know
Transport is arranged through Kent County Council (KCC) or your local authority
Families must apply directly for transport support — the school cannot authorise or allocate places
Pupils are usually transported by taxi or minibus with a trained driver and escort
Escort staff are responsible for the wellbeing of pupils during the journey
Pupils are collected and dropped off at the same point each day unless otherwise agreed
Morning drop-offs begin from 08:30, and end-of-day collections are from 14:30 (Mon–Thu) and 14:00 (Fri)
Our Role
We liaise daily with transport providers and KCC to ensure consistency and address concerns
We support pupils with transition from vehicle to school through a calm and supervised arrival routine
We maintain clear communication between school, families and transport escorts to share essential information
Your Role as Parent/Carer
Ensure your child is ready and waiting at the agreed pick-up point
Inform the school and/or transport provider as early as possible if your child is unwell or not travelling
Share any concerns with us — we will follow up with the provider on your behalf
